Fourth of July

Over the weekend, we were invited to join our friends at their Black River house near Georgetown for some family fun. We packed up and headed down on Saturday morning to enjoy our friends, the sunshine, some boating, and some relaxing. After a morning of boat riding, tubing, and playing in the river, we set the kids up with some finger painting.

Of course the finger painting didn't last too long, but more fun was to be had running around in diapers. Madeline and Emily enjoyed this Jeep ~ we unplugged it for their safety. However, Shay (Emily's mom) and I were lamenting the day that these two little girls really are off in a car doing teenager things.

Madeline was really into the flags that Ms. Shay brought for the kids.

We had a wonderful time celebrating the fourth with our great friends, John, Shay, Drew, and Emily. (Unfortunately, everytime we went out on the boat, I forgot my camera! Aargh!) We are looking forward to spending a week at Fripp with this wonderful family!
