Meet Patty

As part of Madeline's Advent Calendar, she was able to meet our Elf on the Shelf. I had to accessorize our elf prior to introductions with a necklace, bracelet, and skirt. Madeline loved her, and promptly named her Patty! The name Patty actually has "meaning" to Madeline. Just days before, we were in Publix and our lovely cashier gave Madeline a packet of silly bands. Well, her name was Patty! Hopefully, we'll see Patty again at the Publix, so I can share this with her. :)

Madeline loved reading a new book just as much as she loved meeting Patty.

Patty doesn't create as much mischief as many of her co-worker elves do. Patty hides in pretty simple places this year. Perhaps in the future, she'll become more mischievous, but not this year. Madeline loves to look for Patty each morning after we do our Advent Calendar.

Another fun morning for the Advent Calendar was receiving this Little People Nativity Scene from Nana and Papa. Madeline and Amelia love playing with all the little characters, and it was fun to watch Madeline realize who the different characters are. Here she surrounded the Baby Jesus with all the others because "they were watching over him".

Our Advent Calendar seems to be a hit, and of course, Patty is our new favorite friend around the house!
